It’s that quarter of the year again. Here is where my streaming video eye has wandered in the last few months or so:

New Edition, “Cool It Now”

These are the Bostonian godfathers of the ’80s and ’90s boy band, and the template for New Kids on the Block, once Maurice Starr parted ways with Ralph, Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky, and Mike.

This appears to be a collection of clips of old Israeli kids’ shows. I particularly like the band that appears slightly after the 2-minute mark.

“קטע של השיר מהתכנית הנוסטלגית של דובי דוברמן מתחילת שנותה-80.”

Leningrad, “Menya Zovut Shnur”

Responding to the viral flash video that brought some overdue attention to this 17-piece Russian ska band, “3 crazy Dutch guys” do a remake. More about Leningrad in an upcoming post.

Margaret Leng Tan performs John Cage’s In the Name of the Holocaust

Whenever Nous Non Plus plays in Montreal, we’re sure to make a stop at Schwartz’s, famous for its smoked meat (the equivalent of corned beef south of the border).

Sarah Silverman, “Give the Jew Girl Toys”

Click “more” to continue reading… It only gets worse.

The Road That Leads Nowhere, a cool documentary on Czech psych and pop music from the ’60s.

Israeli ad for HDTV (“It’s against the Torah.”)

Conspiracy of Venus, sister band of Conspiracy of Beards. Choral renditions of Leonard Cohen songs!

“Breaking Free,” from the Hebrew version of High School Musical.

Advertisement for a Hebrew school in Philadelphia. “Drawling.”

How does one make a Chanukah wreath out of pretzels? “And I thought, hmm, that gold looks really classy.”

“Dil Deke Dekho,” from Dil Deke Dekho, with renowned Bollywood playback singers Asha Bhosle and Mohammed Rafi.
